Moorish Media Inc., a trailblazer in the media industry, is seeking a highly talented Executive Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily function online and involve a high degree of strategic planning and leadership. The Executive Director of Human Resources will serve as a key partner to the Facility CEO and other leadership team members, contributing significantly to the company's strategic goals.
Key responsibilities of this role include planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Human Resources or a related field, and have a proven track record of managing a human resources team. Experience in the media industry is a plus, but not a requirement. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Director of Human Resources will also work closely with other department heads to build a healthy working environment, focusing on employee engagement, talent retention, and cultivating a high-performing culture. Responsibilities include:
• Identifying, evaluating, and solving hiring challenges: As an integral part of our team, you will be tasked with understanding our unique hiring needs and designing strategies to overcome any challenges in our recruitment process.
• Recruiting top talent to executive positions: Our aim is to build a team of exceptional leaders. Your role will involve identifying and recruiting top-notch talent who can take our organization to the next level.
• Mediating and suggesting solutions to employee disputes: As an HR leader, you will be instrumental in fostering a harmonious workplace environment. This will involve resolving employee disputes sensitively and fairly and proposing feasible solutions.
• Interviewing potential candidates and making recommendations: You will directly participate in candidate interviews for key positions within our organization, providing insightful evaluations and recommendations to guide our hiring decisions.
• Compiling information about compensation and benefits packages based on market data: You will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and using this data to create competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent.
• As the Executive Director of Human Resources, a significant part of your role will involve the development of new HR policies, procedures, practices and guidelines. You will be expected to draft and propose comprehensive policies that align with the company's values, mission statement, and vision, promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensure legal compliance. Furthermore, procedural guidelines that streamline HR processes and boost efficiency will be a crucial aspect of your job. Ensuring that these policies and procedures are accessible, easy to comprehend, and effectively communicated throughout the organization will be essential in promoting adherence and fostering a harmonious working environment.

Role:
The HR Director will be responsible for complete HR and administration operations for Moorish Media Inc., its Subdivisions, Subsidiaries, and Sister Companies. He/she will be a trusted advisor to the business leaders to build organizational & individual capabilities and ensure effective execution and decision-making, specifically related to the human capital assets of Moorish Media Inc., and its sister companies. The position will report to the CEO/President.
What will your job be like?
• Drive, develop and execute the overall HR Strategy to address business challenges and needs, based on a deep understanding of the Big Picture
• Work & partner with corporate HR teams to implement HR programs for other sister companies and subsidiaries of the organization such as compensation & benefits, performance management, R&R and other programs
• Partner with business leaders to provide consultation on HR-related matters (such as workforce planning, cost competitiveness, performance management, talent & leadership management)
• Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs like expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages. This would include bench-marking and negotiating other benefits
• Anticipate and plan for the effects of organizational change, identify risks and develop action plans to ensure the changes succeed
• Ensure leadership continuity and development through succession planning and talent management processes.
• Set up governance and processes to work within budget (salary revision, bonus, recognition, promotions, and performance management)
• Manage the workforce to include headcount standardization workforce planning and position management to ensure effectiveness
• Lead and develop an HR Professional team (3 people), providing strategic direction and focus; and lead global HR projects and programs
• Lead and participate in talent acquisition (including Employer branding)
• Promote an organization climate based on Values and Mission, to deepen the implementation of these values and strengthen employee engagement
All you need is...
• Bachelor or Master's Degree + Specialization in HR
• 3-5+ years of experience in various HR Functions (including Talent acquisition)
• Must have strong, consultative experience with business leaders/teams within an organization
• Experience working with Global Teams in a Multi-Cultural Environment within the high-tech/ learning industry.
• Experience working within a Matrix Organization
• Having led a team of HR Professionals
• Owning end-to-end HR projects, programs and processes
• Project & global program management experience
• Experience working with MS Office & HRM systems (preferably SAP)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $7.00 per hour

• 8-hour shift Monday-Thursday
