Medical Biller

The Medical Biller will work for a Nevada-based client that is in the physical therapy industry.

Responsibilities:
• Post charges and submit claims to insurance companies
• Assess accuracy of patient bills and obtain any missing information
• Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Prepare, review, and send patient statements
• Verify insurance coverage of patient
• Answer patient billing questions by phone or email
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts
• Account reconciliation

Qualifications:
• Must be proficient in any medical billing system (preferably Kareo)
• Must have knowledge in billing operations (e.g., ICD-10 and CPT coding, claims submission, charges and payment posting)
• Must have ability to navigate EHR platforms
• Must be familiar with HIPAA guidelines
• Must possess a customer-oriented attitude and proper phone etiquette
• Proficiency in Google Drive is required
• Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week) during US Pacific business hours
