Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated WordPress Developer to join our team. This role requires daily communication and collaboration with our team via Slack and use of our project management tool and email.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining websites using WordPress, Bricks Builder, Automatic CSS, and Frames.
- Crafting custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced WordPress functionalities including loops, custom coding, functions, and filters.
- Building accessible websites. You must have knowledge of aria-labels, correct heading hierarchy, and many other accessibility requirements for websites. (AA standard)
- Converting PSDs and Figma files into fully functional websites that match the provided designs, font sizes, colours, so that the website looks exactly like our mockups.
- Ability to take a Desktop mockup and build the website out entirely, without additional mobile or tablet designs provided.
Requirements
- Proficiency in WordPress and Bricks Builder page builder.
- Experience with Automatic CSS and Frames.
- Ability to create custom post types, taxonomies, and implement advanced WordPress functionalities.
- Skilled in exporting and creating SVG files from PSDs and Figma files.
- Access and experience in using Photoshop and Figma.
- Fluent in English and effective communication skills.
- Eagerness to continually improve skills and knowledge.
- Familiarity with the principles taught by Kevin Geary. (bonus points if you can say what we don't want to be as a developer: a CH____P)
- Proven experience in building accessible websites (level AA).
- Availability to work 8 hours a day (will also consider part-time)

Skill Test:
- There will be a one-page skill testing project for applicants that we feel have adequate experience and skill level based on our assessment of your portfolio. You will be compensated for this test!
Compensation
- Between $1,000 and $2,000 USD per month based on experience and skill level. Note your rate when you apply, along with how many hours per week you can work.
