Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end insurance credentialing process for physical therapy practitioners.
- Ensure timely submission of credentialing applications to insurance providers.
- Liaise with insurance companies to follow up on the status of applications and resolve any issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance credentialing requirements and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for credentialing.
- Keep accurate records of credentialing status and updates in our system.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to credentialing status and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Insurance Credentialing Specialist, preferably in the healthcare or physical therapy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance credentialing processes, policies, and regulations.
- Familiarity with insurance terminology and coding related to physical therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with insurance providers.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining high productivity levels.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance credentialing, preferably for physical therapy practices.
- Proficiency in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of billing and coding processes related to physical therapy services is a PLUS but not required
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
- Availability for regular virtual meetings and collaboration with members.
