Podcast Editor for conversation and interview podcast

We are seeking a skilled Podcast Editor to edit our podcast with two co-hosts and an accompanying interview. This bi-weekly podcast focuses on the journey of learning Chinese, featuring interviews with individuals who have mastered the language. It’s about the learning experience rather than direct language instruction. Knowledge of Chinese is not required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Editing Episodes: Efficiently edit podcast episodes, ensuring clarity and engagement. You will often need to condense a 60-minute recording into a 30-minute episode while maintaining the core essence of the conversation.
Content Creation: Generate compelling audio and video snippets from podcast episodes for social media promotion.
Publication Management: Handle the uploading and publishing of episodes on various hosting platforms.
Creative Input: Provide suggestions for improving the podcast's overall audio experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Editing Proficiency: Ability to edit for content, understanding the material to highlight key moments and discard less relevant parts. No specific editing software preference.
Social Media Savvy: Experience in creating engaging audio/video content for social media promotion.
Time Management: Ability to meet bi-weekly publication schedules.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Selected candidates will be required demonstrate their skills via a free editing test required the candidate to edit a 15 minute segment down to 5-7 minutes in length.
