Python Developer

VantageBP is a Brand Protection company that monitors the web for counterfeits, trademark infringements and unauthorized sellers on various eCommerce platforms.
We are looking for an experienced Python developer with a focus on web crawling. This role will entail building, testing and maintaining web crawlers for various eCommerce platforms. We use an in-house crawling pipeline, but we are flexible when it comes to experimenting with & implementing alternative, standalone crawling systems.
Requirements:
3+ years Python
2+ years Web Crawling
Proficient with Git / Github
Experience with all or most of the following Python libraries:
BeautifulSoup
MechanicalSoup
Selenium
Playwright
Scrapy
Requests
HTTPX
Asyncio
Aiohttp
Celery
The ideal candidate will have built numerous scrapers or crawlers over time using different approaches. They understand the ins & outs of extracting, transforming & loading data into systems and have experience tailoring their crawling methods to avoid bot detection. They should also have experience automating page clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, keyboard inputs & site navigation to imitate human behaviors for more sophisticated targets.
Proficiency with any of the following is a bonus:
AWS Services (Fargate, EC2, RDS, S3 & SQS)
Django
JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Puppeteer
