Scaffold Designer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Scaffold Design Creation: Develop detailed scaffold designs tailored to specific construction and mining projects. Ensure designs are compliant with Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and relevant legislation.
2. Load Calculations and Material Specification: Perform accurate load calculations and specify materials required for scaffolding structures. Ensure designs are both safe and cost-effective, adhering to industry best practices.
3. Collaboration with Construction Teams: Work closely with construction and mining teams to understand their specific needs and provide custom scaffold solutions. Adapt designs as necessary based on feedback and site-specific challenges.
4. Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive technical documents for each scaffold design, including drawings, risk assessments, and assembly/disassembly instructions.
5. Compliance and Safety Focus: Ensure all designs meet the highest standards of safety and compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act and relevant state regulations.
6. Client Consultation: Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide expert advice on scaffold design options, and address any queries or concerns they may have.
7. Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations to continually enhance skills and knowledge in scaffold design.

Qualifications:
• A degree or diploma in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in scaffold design, preferably in the Australian construction and mining sectors.
• Familiarity with Australian construction standards and safety regulations.
