Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in the strategic and operational leadership of the company. Responsible for managing the financial actions of the company, the CFO's primary duty is to oversee the financial planning, maintain a strong financial foundation, and manage the financial risks of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
Strategic Planning: Develop financial strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial reporting.
Budget Management: Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and oversee financial forecasting and planning.
Risk Management: Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with partners and investors.
Operational Management: Streamline operations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the financial department.
Investor Relations: Engage with the investment community, including presentations and communications to investors and analysts.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent business experience.
10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry.
Proficient in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
