Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand the scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate estimates.
- Research and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, industry trends, and regulations.
- Present and explain cost estimates to project stakeholders.
- Assist in bid preparation and proposal submissions.
- Create a rough layout of a site plan and the ability to do zoning or re-zoning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Estimator.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
