United States Logistics Supervisor

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. As a Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Build Shippers List: Identify and establish relationships with shippers to secure a reliable source of shipments.
Load Booking: Utilize load boards and other resources to find and book suitable loads for transportation.
Load Management: Oversee and manage the scheduling and coordination of shipments to ensure on-time deliveries.
Negotiate Rates: Negotiate competitive rates with shippers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze logistics operations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and documentation.
Problem Solving: Address any logistical issues, delays, or disruptions promptly and effectively.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics processes and improve efficiency.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in using load boards and transportation management software.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and team management skills (if applicable).
