Job Description:
We are a bustling chiropractic office seeking a remote Customer Service Representative to fortify our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in elevating patient care and ensuring the efficiency of our office's operations, including but not limited to scheduling patients, conforming appointments, insurance and attorney verifications. This entails adeptly managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Managing Communications:
Promptly answer incoming calls with a friendly and caring tone, ensuring current and prospective patients feel valued.
Address inquiries, provide information about our services, and transfer calls to the appropriate department when necessary.
Scheduling Appointments:
Coordinate with patients to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments, optimizing the calendar and ensuring a smooth workflow for practitioners.
Inform patients of necessary preparation and provide reminders for upcoming appointments.
Insurance/Billing Verification:
Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
Collaborate with patients to address insurance-related concerns and questions.
Maintaining Records:
Accurately input patient data and appointment details into the practice management software.
Update and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Supporting Office Operations:
Collaborate with in office staff to manage patient flow.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as processing paperwork, handling billing inquiries, or following up on patient feedback.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a customer service role, with a focus on insurance verification, preferably within a healthcare or chiropractic setting in the USA.
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency with office technology, including practice management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
A patient-first mindset, with a commitment to providing compassionate service.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Qualifications in healthcare administration or related field are a plus.
Working Hours:
9:30 AM EST - 6:30 PM EST
Flexibility is required to accommodate office hours and patient scheduling needs.
