We are looking for a smart, experienced and awesome Medical Billing Specialist to support one of our Rockstar clients!
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
• Manage and optimize the resolution of insurance claims that have been pending for more than 20 days.
• Rigorously evaluate each claim to identify and resolve any issues that are causing delays.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and ensure accurate claim status assessments, as well as work towards favorable resolutions for complex claims.
• Conduct a daily review of claims that have been in the system for 20 days or more.
• Utilize a systematic approach to evaluating the current status of each claim to pinpoint potential problems.
• Oversee the pre-approval process for medical procedures, treatments, or services to prevent claim rejections due to lack of authorization.
• Analyze denied claims to understand the reasons behind them.
• Develop and execute a robust rebuttal process to effectively address denial reasons and enhance the chances of successful claim reconsideration.
YOU WILL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
• Ability to focus on details and analyze complex information to identify and solve problems related to medical billing and insurance claims.
• Previous experience, especially in post-claims management as your seasoned expertise in the medical billing field will be the foundation of your success in this role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and you enjoy resolving complex issues.
• Adept at finding solutions to various challenges related to medical billing and insurance claims.
• Patient and persistent, especially when dealing with insurance companies and complex billing systems.
• Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• A strong sense of ethics and understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws, given the sensitive nature of patient data.
• Adaptable and committed to continuous learning, especially regarding new laws, technologies, and insurance policies.
• Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records.
• A customer service approach, especially in dealing with patients’ billing concerns.
• Strategic and insightful to navigate the complexities of medical billing and ensure that our services are rightfully recognized and reimbursed.
