Aging & Verification Specialist
Must be available to work 8am to 7pm EST. Hours may vary based on day. 40 Hours per week.
Denticon Experience preferred.
As an Aging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage the aging report, follow up on unpaid claims.
This is a vital role that ensures efficient revenue cycle management and timely reimbursement for our services
Analyze and review the aging report to identify unpaid claims and delinquent accounts
Resolve claim denials and discrepancies by providing necessary documentation and appeals
Utilize dental billing software and tools to track and monitor claim statuses
Collaborate with the dental team and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues
Maintain accurate records of claim activities and interactions with insurance providers
Stay up-to-date with dental coding and insurance guidelines to ensure compliance
Assist with other billing tasks and administrative duties as needed
As a Verification Specialist your primary responsibility will be to manage the DPS eligibility report in Denticon verify patient insurances both for same day add ons and upcoming appointments.
This is a vital role that ensures efficiency in insurance verification and requires attention to detail.
Calls: Including but not limited to; answering incoming calls, checking voicemails, reaching out to patients for missing insurance information, calling insurance companies for verifications, aging, and plan breakdowns.
Chat: Have individual and Insurance chat open at all times and answer messages as they are received.
Checking Fax & Scanning Docs: Periodically throughout the day check the fax machine for insurance faxes. If an insurance fax is received please print it out, if it needs to be addressed please direct it to the appropriate team member.
Plan Verification: Verify “Green” Appointments (same day and upcoming) using online insurance websites when available and run a verification report to ensure all patients with insurance are being verified including but not limited to PPO, DMO, Discount Plans,, Conversion, Kleer, Courtesy and Employee Pure Plans.
Ensure during verification that DMO patients are assigned to the correct office.
Ensure the member ID is correct and the effective date is entered when available.
Once verification is complete be sure to adjust the appointment color back to its appropriate category.
Denticon Setup: Build Fee Schedules, New Plans and New Carriers in Denticon when necessary. Assure the proper fee schedules are assigned to plans based on location and provider.
